Whole Athlete Academy presented by Strive & Uplift

 

Description:

Middle School:
This has been a hard year – young athletes have struggled without team practices and games and face-to-face learning opportunities. This 8-week asynchronous virtual program will provide age-appropriate structured movement, connection, leadership development, and whole athlete education. Participants will learn workout lingo, great form for common movement patterns, and gain a deeper understanding of how this training applies to ultimate! There’s no specialized equipment required (beyond a disc!), and all videos are captioned and include exercise options for different bodies. This is a non-competitive, non-judgmental environment to get in touch with the inner athlete!

The program includes:

  • One 30-minute recorded class each week led by expert strength & conditioning coaches who’ve spent years working with ultimate athletes and teams
    • Participants will repeat this workout twice each week to help solidify movement patterns
    • Additional videos to practice specific movement patterns in the form of 5-15 minute coach-guided “Movement Snacks”
  • Supplementary whole-athlete content on organization & planning, mental health, soft tissue care, sports nutrition, hydration, mindfulness, and rest & recovery
  • Weekly communication from coaches to create accountability, community, and reflection
  • Embedded leadership development throughout the program

 

High School:
